Drug ‘pusher’ slain in Cavite

SAN PEDRO CITY –– A suspected illegal drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in General Trias City, Cavite, authorities said Wednesday.

Police have yet to ascertain the identity of the slain suspect, named in the police report only by his alias “Melvin.”

A report from the Calabarzon police headquarters said the buy-bust took place around 5 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay San Francisco.

According to the police, the suspect suddenly drew a .9-mm gun from his waist and fired at the two undercover policemen.

This forced the police back-up team to retaliate.

The suspect was rushed to the General Trias Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
