LIST: Canceled flights on August 7 due to Typhoon Hanna

MANILA, Philippines – A number of domestic flights were canceled on Wednesday due to the inclement weather brought about by Typhoon “Hanna” (international name: Lekima).

In an advisory, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) announced that the canceled flights, so far are:

“Hanna” will enhance the southwest monsoon on the western part of the country, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

Signal No. 1 has been raised over Batanes and the Babuyan group of islands, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Moderate to heavy rains will be experienced in the northern portions of Palawan (including Calamian and Cuyo Islands), Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Batangas, Cavite, Zambales, Bataan, Aklan, Antique and the Ilocos Region.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced in Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Central Visayas and Western Visayas. /gsg/muf
