MANILA, Philippines — Outgoing Senator Antonio Trillanes IV debunked the allegations of Peter Joemel Advincula, linking the President’s relatives and allies to the illegal drug trade, saying these were proven to be all lies.

Trillanes presented screenshots of text messages supposedly between Advincula and a priest some time in August 2018 at a press conference at the Senate on Tuesday.

Advincula earlier claimed to be the hooded narrator named “Bikoy” in the so-called “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos, which detailed the alleged involvement of President Rodrigo Duterte’s relatives and allies to the illegal drug trade.

But Advincula recanted his claims and pointed to Trillanes and other members of the opposition of orchestrating the allegations.

The text messages, which Trillanes said were from religious people who took Advincula in when he sought for sanctuary, showed Advincula supposedly pestering a certain “Padre” about a “testimony” he wants to release against certain people.

Noting the series of texts Advincula allegedly sent to a priest, Trillanes pointed out that the said messages contradict the former’s earlier statement that he was promised money in exchange for being featured in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos.
