LUCENA CITY – A birthday party turned into a tragedy after one of the visitors was stabbed dead by another guest in San Andres town in Quezon province shortly before midnight Sunday, police said.

The victim, Macky Porpora, and the suspect, Ritchie Casilla, were both guests at a drinking party being hosted by celebrant Elisteo Navarro in Barangay Camflora around 11 p.m., Police Major Elizabeth Capistrano, Quezon police public information officer, said in a report Monday.
