Suspected drug pusher dead, companion nabbed in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY — A suspected drug pusher was killed while his companion was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Calamba City in Laguna province on Saturday noon.
The slain suspect was identified as Crisanto Donque, a resident of Barangay Canlubang.
Laguna police director Col. Eleazar Matta, in a text message, said the police conducted the buy-bust at 12:10 p.m. in Barangay Sirang Lupa.
He said Donque opened fire when he learned he was dealing with police officers. The police shot back and killed Donque, while his companion, Henry Gabayan, 38, was arrested.
The police recovered nine sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) and a .9-mm caliber gun. (Editor: Leti Z. Boniol)
