Sotto urges ‘Bikoy’ to come clean: Talk to me or Senator Lacson
MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III on Wednesday called on Peter Joemel Advincula, also known as Bikoy, to come clean and explain his claims.
Sotto said Advincula, the hooded man in ‘The Real Narcolist’ videos which accused President Rodrigo Duterte’s relatives and allies of being involved in illegal drug activities in the country, can talk to him or Public Order and Dangerous Drugs committee head Senator Panfilo Lacson to discuss the issue.
“Pinakamaganda nyang gawin ngayon (The best thing he can do now) is to come clean. Sabihin nya lahat. Pumunta siya sakin o kay Senator Lacson (Tell everything. Talk to me or Senator Lacson),” Sotto said in an interview over AM radio station DZMM.
Advincula earlier surfaced at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) and introduced himself as “Bikoy.”
Sotto, however, said that they do not know the whereabouts of Advincula since he surfaced at the IBP.
Sotto made the statement after Lacson canceled the Senate hearing on Advincula, which was scheduled on Friday.
“We are now recalling the letter of invitation sent to Advincula yesterday. Notices will be sent out for the cancellation of the committee hearing on Friday,” Lacson said in a tweet on Wednesday.
“Enough of this nonsense,” he added.
Sotto added that Advincula is the same man who approached him in 2016 and linked former President Benigno Aquino III, former Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, and former Justice Secretary and now detained Leila de Lima to the illegal drug trade. /ee
