MANILA, Philippines — Security guards rescued a man trapped inside a mall elevator during a power outage in Bonifacio Global City Friday.

The security guards rushed to the second floor of the mall after learning that a man was trapped inside the elevator, as a power outage hit the establishment at around 6:30 p.m.

The man was successfully rescued after a few minutes.

Meanwhile, mall goers were asked to leave the establishment due to the power interruption.

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) earlier announced a rotational brownout in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon on Friday due to insufficient power reserve. /ee
