House probes Metro Manila water interruptions

House probes Metro Manila water interruptions

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives began on Monday its hearing into water service interruptions experienced in parts of the metropolis, Rizal and Cavite since March 18.

House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, House Metro Manila development committee chair and Quezon City 2nd District Rep. Winston Castelo, Majority Leader Fredenil Castro and Health Sec. Francisco Duque III attended the investigation.

Representatives from the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, Manila Water Company, Inc., Maynilad Water Services, Inc., and private stakeholders were also present at the hearing.
