No end to drug war: Duterte says ‘You can call God and intervene’
LAUR, Nueva Ecija — “You can call God and intervene,” President Rodrigo Duterte said on Wednesday, noting that his brutal war on drugs would be unrelenting nevertheless.
Duterte said he doesn’t mind criticisms even from the human rights group.
“If you destroy my country, I will kill you. So be it. Human rights, fine, you can shout to the heavens. You can call God and intervene for if you continue to sell shabu, cocaine and the drugs that are deleterious and toxic and can cause death to the Filipinos, I will kill you. Period,” he said in a speech during the inauguration of a drug and alcohol treatment facility here.
The President said the government has “made significant headway in our fight against illegal drugs.”
“Three million addicts is no joke to me. I can cut you to pieces a thousand times. I hate drugs because you do not f*** with my countrymen,” he said.
“[F]or those who are into the business, my God, no quarters given, no quarters asked. I don’t give a s***, I will just kill you,” he added.

“Hindi kita papatawarin. Just like terrorism. I’ll return the courtesy. So it’s just a matter of letting them understand that even if you are on the other side, you do not monopolize evil in your mind. We have ours and I can do better than what you can, 100 times over,” he said.
“That goes for the terrorists and those of the drug people. They are coming in,” he added.
He said he was determined to end the drug war in the country during his term.
“Tapusin na natin ito sa panahon ko, while I’m still here ready to assume singly. I will assume full legal responsibility for whatever it is. And they can hang me if they want. No problem,” he said.
“[T]o the drugs people, I can kill you for nothing,” he added, saying that the military and the police “are ready to meet the challenge.” /ee /cbb
