BFP: Laperal Compound fire damage estimated at P10 million
MANILA, Philippines — The fire that hit the Laperal Compound in Makati City left three people injured and an estimated P10 million in damages, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said on Tuesday.
According to an arson investigation report, the fire started from an apartment located in the middle portion of the compound.
Injured were Rodido Villafrana, 51, Miguela Burse, 35, and Manuel Mojaica, 31. The three suffered minor injuries and were rushed to the Ospital ng Makati for treatment.
No one was killed in the fire that struck the compound early Tuesday morning, the BFP said.
According to the report, 300 houses were razed and left 450 families homeless.
As of this posting, probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
