Fire hits Laperal Compound in Makati City
MANILA, Philippines — Hundreds of houses were affected by a fire that hit the Laperal compound in Makati City early Tuesday morning.
The compound is located along Bernardino Street, in Barangay Guadalupe Viejo, the Bureau of Fire Protection Makati said.
According to the BFP, the fire started at 1:22 a.m. and reached Task Force Bravo at 2:30 a.m. It was then declared fire out at 5:26 a.m.
Authorities have yet to determine the exact number of affected houses which were made mostly of light materials.

No casualties so far were reported from the fire incident. Arson investigators have also yet to determine the cause of fire and the cost of damage, the BFP added.
The affected families are currently staying at Nuestra Senora de Gracia Church after the fire. /muf
