WATCH: Wife of arrested NDFP consultant demands to see husband
The wife of arrested National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) consultant Vic Ladlad demanded to see her husband as she raised concerns that he could be harmed while being transported by the police to Camp Karingal in Quezon City.
Ladlad and two others were arrested early Thursday morning in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City for alleged illegal possession of high-powered firearms, ammunitions, and explosives.

Fides Lim was initially denied from seeing her husband as the police conducted disposition for Ladlad and the two other suspects.
“I just want to see my husband. Kaya ikaw, (That’s why, you) do not talk to me that way. I know my rights,” Lim boldly told a police officer in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, where Ladlad was initially taken for disposition.

Lim earlier said in a Facebook post that her husband needs medicines “badly” since he had chronic asthma that had degenerated into emphysema.
Later after she finally saw her husband, Lim also pleaded Chief. Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr. to ride with Ladlad in the police car to ensure that “nothing bad will happen to him.”
“You promise me that you will ride with him and nothing bad will happen to him on the way to Camp Karingal,” she said.
“Of course, we’re police, ma’am. Nothing will happen to him,” Esquivel said.
“Sir, I have no choice but to trust you at this moment,” Lim said. /je
