Man nabbed for raping daughters in Cavite

Authorities apprehended a man who has been allegedly raping his daughters for years in Cavite.

The Eastern Police District (EPD) said on Tuesday that the man was arrested by the EPD Mobile Force Battalion Intelligence Operatives on Monday,

An EPD report showed that the suspect was arrested by virtue of arrest warrants issued by Hon. Judge Florian Gregory D. Abalajon of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 261 and Nicanor A. Manalo Jr. of RTC Branch 158 of Pasig City.

The warrant issued by Abalajon was for lascivious conduct while Manalo’s warrant was for two counts of rape and for abusing his 15-year-old daughter.

Two other daughters of the suspect who were also reportedly raped when they were still minor refused to file charges against their father, the report said.

He was also listed as the Top 2 Most Wanted Person in EPD for the fourth quarter of 2018. He was arrested at a house in Camella Lessandra Bucandala, Barangay Bucandala IV, Imus, Cavite at 8:10 p.m.

The suspect was brought to the Pasig City Police Station for proper documentation and custody. His 15-year-old daughter, meanwhile, was brought to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for custody, moral recovery, and counseling. /ee
