CITY OF CALAPAN – A former village councilor was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Naujan town, Oriental Mindoro on Tuesday morning.

Supt. Imelda Tolentino, information officer of the Mimaropa police, said the drug enforcement team of the Naujan police arrested Randy Villapando, 47, former village councilor of San Nicolas after selling suspected shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover policeman in the said village around 8 a.m.

Villapando, a drug surrenderer, was considered a high-value target, said Tolentino.

Confiscated from him was a plastic sachet containing eight packs of suspected shabu, cash and a motorcycle.
