Retired seaman, trike driver killed in separate Pangasinan shootings

DAGUPAN CITY— A retired seaman and a tricycle driver were killed in separate shootings in Pangasinan on Tuesday (Oct. 9, belated police reports said.

In Sison town, 62-year old retired seaman Milton Requintin was shot several times at 7:45 p.m. as he drove his tricycle through the access road of the Alamay compound at barangay (village) Asan Sur.

Earlier in San Carlos City, 44-year-old Manny de Vera was shot at 4:45 a.m. at the junction of Sitio (subvillage) Nansangaan by motorcycle-riding gunmen who followed his tricycle.

The victim was brought to the Virgin Milagrosa Medical Center for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

Police have yet to establish the motive behind the attacks on Requintin and De Vera./muf
