2 Manila bridges to be closed for repairs on Saturday

Two bridges in Manila will be closed off to vehicular traffic on Saturday to allow for repairs, according to the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU).

In an advisory on Friday, MDTEU said the Old Sta. Mesa Bridge (San Juan Bridge) and two lanes of the Mabini Bridge (Nagtahan Bridge) to the Nagtahan flyover southbound will be closed to traffic.

According to the advisory, the Mabini Bridge will be closed from 11 p.m. on Saturday and will be opened to traffic on 5 a.m. Sunday.

Motorists intending to cross the Old Sta. Mesa Bridge coming from P. Sanchez St. are advised to take alternate routes on Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard. Motorists coming from Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard are advised to take Araneta Avenue instead.

Meanwhile, motorists intending to cross Mabini Bridge to the Nagtahan flyover southbound are advised to use Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard or Legarda St. instead. /muf
