MONTREAL, Canada -- Canadian regulators this week gave their approval to the country's first pornographic cable channel.

The channel, Northern Peaks, will be offered by Real Productions, an Alberta-based company, specializing in pornographic materials.

"The proposed service would be Canada?s first adult video channel offering significant Canadian adult content," said the Canadian Council on Broadcasting and Telecommunications.
