CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- (UPDATE) The raid on a warehouse in Floridablanca, Pampanga has yielded at least P1.4 million worth of "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride), and authorities have asked the court to issue them warrants to search two nearby warehouses owned by three Chinese suspects.
The first sample consisted of 140 grams, said Ronald Ricardo, intelligence officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Chief Superintendent Errol Pan, Central Luzon police director, has ordered a manhunt for Peter Fei, Caroline Dy, Eugene Bao, and Vilma Dimarucut, who were suspected to be maintaining the warehouse.
Pan has placed the town's police chief, Superintendent Luisito Magnaye, under investigation, as well as police intelligence officers and officials of Barangay (village) Consuelo, where the shabu laboratory had been located.
Pan said that police were able to arrest a certain Renie Reyes, a native of Samar, who claimed to be caretaker of the place. Reyes identified the owners of the laboratory as Eugene Bao and Vilma Dimarucut Bao, identified as Taiwanese nationals.
Reyes also mentioned other personalities involved, including a certain “Peter” and “Martin.”
