Driver dies in Russian roulette

MANILA, Philippines -- A drinking session among neighbors took a tragic turn when a 27-year-old driver allegedly killed himself playing "Russian roulette" Tuesday afternoon in Manila.
Joseph Romero, of Legarda Street, Sampaloc, died of a gunshot to the right temple, police said.
Senior Police Officer 2 Virgo Villareal of the Manila Police District homicide division said the incident happened around 4 p.m. in the victim's house while Romero was drinking with his neighbors, Jonathan Mejino and Abel Valerosa.
The two told police Romero drew a.38 caliber revolver tucked in his waist, loaded one of its chambers, spun the cylinder, pointed the weapon at his temple and pulled the trigger.
"Nagkatuwaan lang po [We were just having fun]," Mejino told police.
But police said they are not ruling out foul play.
