List of new teachers out
MANILA, Philippines – Less than 50 percent of examinees who took the licensure test for elementary and high school teachers in September passed.
Of the 62, 160 examinees for elementary, 19, 384 or 31.18 percent made it while 25, 755 or 39.75 percent of 64,792 passed the test for high school teachers, the Professional Regulation Commission and the Board for Professional Teachers said in releasing the names of the successful takers.
The Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) was given in 17 testing centers September 29.
The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.
The result of examination for one candidate was withheld pending final determination of his liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.
The PRC said the registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on December 6.
The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:
1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
2) latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula);
3) 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag);
4) metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and
5) the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies of the successful examinees will be announced.
