Trillanes joins Villar’s Nacionalista Party

Re-electionist Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has joined the Nacionalista Party.
Trillanes took his oath as a party member before NP chief Senator Manuel Villar in a simple ceremony at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel on Sunday.
Trillanes won his current Senate seat despite campaigning behind bars and running as an independent in the 2007 elections.
Trillanes, who led two unsuccessful coup attempts against the Arroyo administration, won after promising reforms in the military. Cathy Yamsuan
