Barber’s killer shot dead in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY — The haircut customer who killed his barber last week over what he thought was a bad haircut was shot dead by his victim’s brother inside the police station of Calinog town in Iloilo yesterday morning.

Benjie Lozada died from a gunshot wound in the head after he was shot by Nonito Agustino around 9 a.m., Senior Inspector Aron Palomo, Calinog police told the Inquirer in a phone interview.

Nonito is the younger brother of Charlie Agustino who was hacked to death by Lozada after he got angry with how Charlie had cut his hair.

Palomo said they were preparing to go to Iloilo City to file a murder complaint against Lozada when Agustino approached the detention cell and suddenly shot Lozada using a homemade shotgun. Nonito was immediately arrested by policemen.  /INQUIRER
