Father, sons nabbed in PDEA anti-drug ops in S. Cotabato
KORONADAL CITY – Anti-narcotics agents arrested a 50-year-old father and his two sons during an anti-illegal drugs entrapment operation in Tampakan, South Cotabato over the weekend.
In a report, Director Naravy Duquitan, of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for Region 12 (PDEA-12), said Jaime Malinao Sr. was arrested after he handed over a sachet of shabu to an agent during the operation conducted around 3:45 p.m. Saturday in Barangay Maltana.
Also arrested during anti-illegal drug sting were his sons identified as Jaime Jr. and Mark.
Government operatives also seized P136,000 worth of shabu and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
“The elder Malinao is a high value target of PDEA,” Duquitan said in a statement.
Duquitan said the elder Malinao was allegedly the source of illegal drugs in South Cotabato and Gen. Santos City based on statement of previously arrested drug users and peddlers.
