LUCENA CITY – A pedestrian died after a speeding motorcycle driven by a teenager accidentally bumped into him in San Narciso town in Quezon province late Saturday, police reported.

A report from the Quezon police headquarters said King Tumbiga, 22, a farmer from San Andres town, was crossing a road in Barangay (village) Villa Reyes when the motorcycle driven by a 16-year-old boy hit him at about 10:30 p.m.

Rescuers rushed the victim, who sustained serious head injuries, to the San Narciso municipal hospital but died along the way.

Police learned that the motorcycle was registered to the father of the minor, who is detained at the local police jail. /cbb
