Sevilla Bridge rehab starts next month; heavy traffic seen

Motorists passing through Sevilla Bridge which connects Mandaluyong and Manila should brace for heavy traffic once repairs on the nearly 80-year-old structure begin next month.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said that traffic on Shaw Boulevard would be affected and advised motorists to take alternate routes.

  • For vehicles westbound: From Shaw, turn right to F. Blumentritt Street, left to F. Manalo Street, right to Old Sta. Mesa, left to Araneta Avenue and right to Aurora Boulevard to destination.
  • From Shaw, turn right to Blumentritt, left to Manalo, left to Old Sta. Mesa, right to V. Mapa, left to Aurora Boulevard to destination.

• For vehicles eastbound: From Magsaysay Boulevard, turn right to Valenzuela Street, right to Cordillera, left to Lubiran to Boni Avenue to Maysilo roundabout and exit to F.B. Martinez Street, then right to Shaw to destination. —Dexter Cabalza
