Asec. Aurora Ignacio named ‘focal person’ in anti-drugs campaign

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Assistant Secretary Aurora Ignacio as the “focal person” to receive inquiries related to the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.

Duterte signed Ignacio’s appointment papers on July 4 but the appointment was released to the media only on Thursday.

“In the exigency of the service, Ms Aurora Ignacio, Assistant Secretary, Office of the President, is hereby designated as focal person to receive inquiries or clarifications and provide the necessary intervention on matters pertaining to the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign,” her appointment letter read.

“As focal person, she shall also ensure that those offering assistance to the said campaign are immediately acted upon and, whenever necessary, refer the same to the agencies concerned,” it added. JE/rga
