1 killed, 1 hurt in Pangasinan road accidents

DAGUPAN CITY — A fish pond helper died while a 5-year-old boy was injured in two separate road accidents in Sual town in Pangasinan province.

Jeffrey Balarbar, 25, did not make it alive when he was taken to a hospital on Thursday, according to PO3 Rennan Mislang, Sual police investigator.

Balarbar was thrown off his motorcycle and fell into a canal after his motorcycle crashed into a concrete wall as he sped through a blind curve in Barangay (village) Poblacion West in Sual at 12:55 a.m.

Mislang said Balarbar suffered head injuries.

On Wednesday, Nathaniel Dela Rosa, a preschool pupil, was struck by a motorcycle as he crossed a road at Barangay Capantolan at about 4 p.m.

Dela Rosa suffered bruises in different parts of his body and is being treated in a hospital in Lingayen town.
