CA body recommends Neda Sec. Pernia for confirmation

Another Cabinet member, National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) Secretary Ernesto Pernia, has been recommended for confirmation by a panel of the Commission on Appointments (CA).

Pernia’s ad interim appointment was unanimously approved by the CA’s committee on tourism and economic development and recommended for plenary approval.

The Neda Secretary was the third Cabinet member, who was recommended for confirmation this Wednesday after Department of Information and Communications Technology (DITC) Secretary Rodolfo Salalima and Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-Teo.

Teo’s ad interim appointment was also approved by the same committee while Salalima’s appointment was also recommended for confirmation by the CA’s committee on transportation and communications.

The appointments the three Cabinet officials will then be transmitted to the CA plenary for either adoption or rejection. IDL
