Ronnie Dayan turned over to PNP
Ronnie Dayan, Sen. Leila de Lima’s former driver and boyfriend, was turned over to the custody of the Philippine National Police on Thursday as the House of Representatives’ committee on justice was about to wrap up its hearings on the illegal drug trade at the national penitentiary.
Dayan, who was placed under House custody after being arrested last Tuesday, signed a certification that he is willing to be placed under Philippine National Police (PNP) custody following the advice of committee members.

Dayan underwent a medical checkup before being turned over to police custody.
Dayan earlier expressed his desire to go home to Pangasinan after testifying, but House justice committee members advised him to seek police custody for his safety.
