Signal No. 2 up in Cagayan, Isabela and northern Aurora

Signal No. 2 was hoisted Tuesday night over Cagayan, Isabela and northern Aurora as Typhoon “Lawin” closes in on the Philippines.

The state weather bureau, meanwhile, raised Signal No. 1 in the following areas:

– Calayan group of Islands,

In a press briefing, Pagasa forecasters said Lawin is expected to make landfall in Cagayan on Thursday morning.
