Cobra slithers through Thai toilet bowl, again
Another deadly snake wriggled its way to a toilet bowl in Thailand, a week after a python bit a man’s penis in a squat toilet.
According to reports by Thai PBS and Asian Correspondent, a meter-long cobra was found inside a home bathroom in Klong Luang district, Pathum Thani province, on Saturday night.
Rescue workers from Po Teck Toeng Foundation received an urgent call from Polapat Laokamnerdpetch, 27, and the rescuers rushed to the scene.
The serpent hid back inside the toilet pipe, and rescuers spent 30 minutes pouring insecticide and breaking the septic tank to snuff out the reptile. After its capture, the cobra was brought to the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute in Bangkok, an institute researching on venomous snakes, and then was sent to a snake farm, according to local media.
The slimy creature was able to creep up into the toilet bowl because there was no mesh screen built to clog any creature or object from trespassing in the sewage tube.
