Aspiring town councilor killed in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY– A candidate for councilor in Talavera town was gunned down by an unidentified suspect before midnight on Thursday (April 14), police said.

Gerald Fermin, San Pascual village chief in that town, was running under the Liberal Party and was a political ally of reelectionist Mayor Nerivi Santos Martinez.

Police said the victim was shot at close range. CDG
