Pacquiao: Binay destined to become president
Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao gave a rousing speech during the proclamation rally of Vice President Jejomar Binay on Tuesday, saying Binay is destined to be the country’s president.
Addressing the crowd mostly from the slums of Welfareville compound, Mandaluyong, Pacquiao said he knows the experience of being hungry while living on the streets before he rose to fame and riches as a boxing champion.
A senatorial candidate of the United Nationalist Alliance, Pacquiao said only Binay can uplift the country from poverty because the latter also knows the experience of being poor.
Rousing the most cheers among Binay’s senatorial bets who took the stage, Pacquiao exclaimed that Binay is “our next president.”
