Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas’ conscience is clear that neither he nor the ruling party has a hand in the string of cases against Sen. Grace Poe in an attempt to disqualify her from the presidential race.

“I know what I do, have done, have spoken and I’m not in any part of these cases,” Roxas told reporters at the sidelines of a semiconductor and electronics executives’ forum at The Bellevue Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Spokespersons of LP, however, have denied involvement in the filing of the disqualification cases.

“I can speak for myself, for my campaign, the directives and guidance of the president, the hierarchy of the party that we have made and that is what we stand by,” Roxas stressed.

Before choosing Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo, Roxas considered—and wooed—Poe to be his running mate.

Poe, however, turned down LP’s offer and instead challenged Roxas in next year’s elections.
