SLIDESHOW: AFP’s chronology of events of Mamasapano clash
MANILA, Philippines — Brigadier General Angelito de Leon, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations (J3) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, presented before a Senate hearing on Monday, the chronology of events during the Mamasapano clash which killed 18 police officers, 18 members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and at least four civilians.
De Leon detailed what transpired during the January 25 incident, wherein he reiterated that the military found out about the operations by the Philippine National Police’s Special Action Force to arrest top international terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan and Filipino bomb maker Basit Usman, only on the day itself.
