walang-pasokMANILA, Philippines – While many colleges and universities in Metro Manila canceled classes for Saturday, September 20, the University of the Philippines Diliman initially wanted its classes to resume as Tropical Storm “Mario” veers away from the country.

The state university’s Facebook post quoted Chancellor Michael Tan as saying classes will resume because tropical storm “Mario” has weakened.

The announcement raised eyebrows from netizens as many Metro Manila schools have already suspended Saturday classes due to floods and impassable roads.
