LPA off Catanduanes to bring rains in Bicol, Quezon–Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area off Catanduanes will bring light to moderate rains in the Bicol region and Quezon province, the state weather bureau said midday Friday.
The LPA was last observed 260 kilometers northeast of Virac in Catanduanes, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
“Residents in these areas and local disaster risk reduction management councils concerned are advised to be alert and take all the necessary precautionary measures and monitor updates on this weather disturbance,” Pagasa also said.
The LPA has small chances of becoming a cyclone but is not discounting the possibility, the weather bureau said.
