1 killed, 2 hurt in Cotabato gunfight

MANILA, Philippines — One was killed while two were wounded in a gunfight between civilians on Thursday in Cotabato, the military said.

The Barangay Peacekeeping Action team led by Barangay (village) Chairman Ping Kolilong Pulalon of Tugal village figured in a firefight with the group of a certain Kagi Tadoy from Kapinpilan village in Midsayap town, Major Dante Gania, public affairs officer of Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said on Friday.

The encounter lasted for 25 minutes past 3 p.m. in Tugal village.

All the casualties were from Pulalon’s side.
