Senate committee starts review of proposed P2.6T budget
MANILA, Philippines – The Senate on Tuesday began deliberations in a committee level the proposed P2.6 trillion national budget for 2015.
The Senate committee on finance headed by Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero started the budget hearing with the briefing from the Development Budget Coordinating Council (DBCC).
Present in the hearing were Budget Secretary Florencio Abad and other officials of the Department of Budget and Management, officials of the Department of Finance led by its head, Secretary Cesar Purisima, National Economic and Development Authority Director General Arsenio Balisacan, Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Jacinto-Henares and officials of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, among others.
