Eight months after, Lacson submits P170.7B ‘Yolanda’ masterplan

MANILA, Philippines – Eight months after “Yolanda” ravaged the country, President Benigno Aquino III finally has received a copy of the masterplan for the rehabilitation of areas hit by the world’s strongest typhoon to make landfall.

Rehabilitation czar Panfilo Lacson gave Aquino a copy of the 8,000-page master plan during the commemoration of the fifth death anniversary of Aquino’s mother, former president Corazon Aquino, on Friday, Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported.

The masterplan, entitled “Yolanda Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Plan”, details the P170.7 billion major rehabilitation project for infrastructure, resettlement, livelihood, social services, climate change, and disaster preparedness, the report said.
