‘Lechon’ shop in Quezon City robbed
MANILA, Philippines—Two men pretending to be customers robbed a “lechon” store on Sunday afternoon in Quezon City.
The Elarz Pambansang Lechon branch in Barangay (village) Loyola Heights said it lost P60,000 in cash to the thieves who fled on a motorcycle.
Case investigator PO2 Marianito Sagucio Jr. of the Anonas police station said the robbery happened at 3:25 p.m. on Xavierville Avenue. A man entered the store, ordered lechon but then took out a gun and told the cashier to hand over all the cash in the drawer.
The robber ran outside the store where his cohort was waiting on a black motorcycle. The two then escaped with their loot.—Julie M. Aurelio
