Reyes will not testify vs Enrile—INQUIRER.net poll
MANILA, Philippines—Netizens believed Lucila ‘Gigi” Reyes isn’t out to save her own skin at the expense of her former boss, Juan Ponce Enrile, who is embroiled in the multi-billion pork barrel scam, a recent survey of the INQUIRER.net revealed.
The question posted was “Do you think Lucila “Gigi” Reyes will testify against Senator Juan Ponce Enrile in the pork barrel scam?”
From the 892 votes gathered as of Wednesday morning, a total of 67.75 percent or 603 votes of the polled readers doubted that Reyes would spill the beans against Enrile, while only 32.25 percent or 287 believed she would testify against her former boss.
Reyes, a former chief of staff of Senator Enrile, has been named by state witnesses as a recipient of kickbacks in the multi-billion pork barrel scam—a charge she has denied.
Reyes left the country in August 2013, a month after the pork barrel scandal broke out, but came home last Black Saturday, April 19.
