2 men found dead

TWO men were found dead in separate incidents in the cities of Danao and Mandaue.

Regie Villagantol, 34, was found by his relatives suspended from the ceiling of his house in barangay Maslog, Danao last Friday morning.

Police said the man may have been depressed after his wife left him after they had a fight over financial matters last Dec. 25.

In barangay Ibabao-Estancia, Mandaue, Melchor Manatad, 57, was found hanging from the ceiling of his room with a nylon rope tied around his neck past 7 a.m. yesterday.

The man was already dead when police and paramedics arrived.

The man’s sister Virginia told police that her brother had been suffering from a nervous breakdown and was an insomniac.

The sister said the man had been threatening to commit suicide.
