Tuburan, Balamban bag titles

THE towns of Tuburan and Balamban were crowned champions in the basketball and volleyball events of the 3rd Congressman Pablo John Garcia Cup after they conquered separate foes last Saturday at the Barba Sports Complex in Toledo City.

Tuburan downed Barili, 81-70, in the championship match of the basketball event while Balamban prevailed over Toledo in their title match in volleyball.

Third District Rep. Pablo John Garcia handed the cash prizes during the awarding ceremonies held after the championship games.

The champions in the two events received P200,000 each, while the first runners-up got P150,000 each. The third placers went home with P100,000 apiece.

Tuburan and Aloguinsan finished third in the volleyball and basketball, respectively.
