AT least 80 motorists were stranded after water overflowed into the spillway in sitio Tangub, Barangay Lagtang, Talisay City last Wednesday evening.

Willy Abatayo, QM builder supervisor, said they had to remove the debris clogging the culvert at 6:15 p.m to stop the water from overflowing.

There are five culverts measuring 36 inches in diameter to convey floodwaters from the mountains to the sea.
