It was a day of draws in the secondary division of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. football competition yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Defending champion Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) and current league leader Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) ended their match in a 1-all draw.

The Greywolves found the back of the net first via Paul Covero’s goal in the 22nd minute. The Magis Eagles’ Jose Marie Kwan was able to score the equalizer two minutes before the final whistle.

The second match between University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) and University of San Carlos (USC) also ended in a 1-all draw.

It was the Jaguars who drew first blood via Greg Abatol’s goal in the 52nd minute. The Warriors were able to level the match 12 minutes later courtesy of Sao Paulo Butawan.

The first match in the collegiate division ended in the same fashion as the games in the secondary division with neither University of Cebu (UC) and USJ-R scoring a goal in the entire 90 minutes of the match.

Both teams, however, were booked for red cards.

USJ-R’s Harold Daga picked up a red for kicking an opponent in the 17th minute. UC’s Ralph Plaza was also handed a red for picking two yellows for unsportsmanlike behavior.

The University of Southern Philippines- Foundation posted its first win via a 6-0 dumping of Don Bosco College (DBC).
