Lions upset Tigers

THE TELEPERFORMANCE Lions roared from start to finish to upset the southern conference Bracket A leader Wipro Tigers, 60-56, last Saturday in the 2013 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

The two squads fought tightly throughout the game but the Lions didn’t back down from the challenge behind the steady plays of Marco Antonio Real and Joselito Ruiz.

Real topped the Lions with 18 points on top of five assists, four steals and a rebound. Ruiz added 11 markers, five boards, two steals and two blocks as the Lions pocketed their fifth win in nine games.
