Experts on sports science will serve as Cebu City Sports Commission’s (CCSC) advisers and consultants for its latest project, which is the distribution of sports newsletters to different schools in Cebu City.

CCSC headed by chairman Edward Hayco said CCSC will push through with the plan to distribute these newsletters to public school sports coordinators and Physical Education (PE) coaches here.

The newsletters will be a monthly informative supplement that will contain articles about sports conditioning, sports nutrition, sports psychology and injury prevention for the benefit of the development of Cebu City’s grassroots program on sports.

Hayco is targeting 500 public school sports coordinators and coaches to benefit from the project.

“The newsletter will contain technical information that will help coaches improve their coaching skills and pass on what they learn to athletes,” Hayco said. He also noted that CCSC will try to spread these newsletters to the barangay level.
