Police asset gunned down

/ 06:58 AM August 20, 2011

A POLICE informant who also served as an errand boy of the Carbon police station was shot dead in downtown Cebu City early morning yesterday.

Alberto Limbaga, of barangay Pahina Central, was shot by a motorcycle-riding gunman while sleeping by the road on Leon Kilat Street.

Police said Limbaga had been an errand boy at the Carbon police station for several years.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that Lim was killed because of his being a police asset, said SPO4 Alex Dacua of the Cebu City police. CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
