‘Drunk’ NBI agents shoot each other; 1 injured, 1 detained

MANILA, Philippines—An agent of the National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) was wounded in a shooting incident with a fellow agent inside their office in Manila around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

A sketchy report from a source in the NBI said the victim and his alleged assailant were drinking which reportedly led to an altercation.

The wounded agent was brought to a nearby hospital while the alleged shooter was detained at the NBI jail, the source also said.

NBI officials, however, have barred the media and the police from entering the NBI compound where the shooting took place, the Inquirer has learned

The NBI office is located on Taft Avenue, Manila.
